New Procedures During COVID-19

Advice for our Patients

We are pleased to announce that we are open. We will only be seeing emergency patients at this time.

Routine dentistry was suspended with the outbreak of COVID-19, due to the social distancing measures and personal protective equipment required.

To ensure the safety of our patients and members of staff, we have adjusted our practice protocols and procedures.

What will dental appointments be like?

At Parkhill Dental Practice, we work hard to provide appropriate personal equipment for our staff, and we have put measures in place to maintain social distancing. Before your appointment, we will:

  • ask you some screening questions. You will be asked these same questions again at your appointment
  • ask you to complete your medical history via the link sent to you
  • ask you to self-check-in via the link
  • ask you to pay in advance
  • check your temperature on arrival
  • ask you to use hand sanitiser when you arrive (and before you leave).

You will also notice that:

  • waiting rooms might look a little different with two-metre markers in place
  • the dental team may be wearing different protective equipment to what you are used to seeing
  • you will be offered fewer options for your appointment due to required social distancing measures.

How you can help:

  • You should come alone, except for children below 16 years old and persons in need
  • A distance of at least two metres must be observed if another patient is present in the dental practice
  • If you show symptoms following appointment booking, you should contact the practice by phone
  • Do not arrive early to the practice. If necessary, you should wait outside the practice
  • Do not arrive without an appointment
  • Do not to bring any unnecessary items such as bags, briefcases, rucksacks, shopping etc.
  • You should attend wearing a mask if possible, or be prepared to wear one
