Composite Bonding

What is composite bonding?

Composite bonding, also known as a tooth bonding or dental bonding is a purely cosmetic treatment which allows for correcting minor tooth damage, closing gaps in the front teeth, and building up or restoring uneven teeth.

A composite resin is attached to a tooth and shaped to restore its original appearance. The colour of the resin is matched to your teeth, so it will appear as though it is a natural part of the tooth.

Natural-looking results

Cosmetic fillings now come in a wide range of colours and degrees of transparency which allows matching to natural teeth. Excellent restorative improvements can be made while offering a more affordable option to veneers or crowns.

What are the benefits of composite bonding?

Composite bonding is usually completed during one appointment and is a relatively fast and effective way to fix minor cosmetic issues.

It is a minimally invasive technique which does not require substantial tooth preparation and is relatively cheaper than crowns or veneers.

Composite restorations may need resurfacing from time to time, especially if stained from smoking. If needed, repairs and correction can be easily performed during one appointment. Regular brushing and good oral hygiene will prolong the longevity of composite restorations.
