Dental Examination
Good oral health is essential
At Parkhill Dental Practice, our main objective is to provide our patients with a natural and healthy smile. Scientific and medical studies have shown that common oral infections may increase the risk of stroke, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and early childbirth.
It is paramount for us to maintain good oral health with our patients, and one of the main ways is to visit your dentist and hygienist regularly. We believe that prevention is better and more successful than the treatment itself.
What to expect during an oral health assessment?
A proper Oral Health Assessment/Examination is fundamental to providing you with a tailored and most comprehensive treatment plan.
During an examination, the clinician will check all areas of your mouth, face and neck. We routinely screen for any abnormalities which might lead to oral cancer.
When appropriate, our dentists will use a range of diagnostic tools which will help them to fully understand and diagnose potential problems.
We will:
- Discuss with you any concerns you may have regarding your treatment and final outcomes
- Carry full examination of your mouth, face, head, and neck
- Take x-rays and clinical photographs when appropriate
- Discuss possible treatment options.
At Parkhill Dental Practice, we listen to our patients’ concerns or questions regarding their treatment.
